At-a-glance

Arrowhead Baseball has been a summer tradition for years.  This year the baseball team has many new additions and is ready to make a run.  Team leader and team captain Eric Cottrell is a returning senior and already has a scholarship locked up to play for the University of Upper Iowa.

Cottrell is very enthusiastic about this season and is ready to jump start his ball club.  I asked Cottrell what he thinks about the season so far and he said, “We started off strong but have not played our best ball in the last two games and hope to jump back onto the winning path”.  Cottrell is very determined and focused about this season.

Arrowhead has started the season 1-2 and have lost two straight.  This is the first year in Arrowhead baseball history that a freshman has started for the Varsity team.  Mike Bauer a freshman, has started the first three games of the year and will continue to be the varsity catcher this year and years to come.  I asked Bauer about what he thinks about his baseball career at Arrowhead so far and he said, “I love it, its been great to play with upper classman, and gain experience for years to come”.  Bauer is off to a hot start this season.

Arrowhead baseball is easily of the most exciting sports to watch in the summer and it continues to be a tradition.  The team is more focused than ever to bring back the gold ball to Arrowhead and to be D1 champs.
