Jersey Shore’s famous meatball Nicole Polizzi, otherwise known as “Snooki,” announced her pregnancy about two weeks ago. The belligerent drunk and heavy smoker shocked many people across the country about her soon to be infant. 

Star of the famous reality show, Jersey Shore, Snooki and other characters portrayed the fun young lifestyle of a group of strangers from New Jersey. Snooki became the breakout character for the show which raised her salary so now she brings in about $100,000 per episode. Her wild partying and upbeat personality attracted many Americans to watch the drama unfold. Snooki is famous for her outrageous antics, so fans and critics alike wondered how she would settle down and fit in into the married family life. Snooki admitted that she feared that she lost the baby during the first month because of her excessive drinking. 

“Sh**t, I’ve been drinking …..I was worried. It was New Year’s Eve and we were in Vegas, so I did go crazy,” she said to an US Weekly reporter.

She has become a nationwide party symbol and to think that she now has to settle down is kind of astonishing.

“I think it’s weird. I don’t think she’s going to keep the baby healthy,” said junior Elle Maiyer.

Many young celebrity mothers cannot bear the stress of having children while constantly being attacked in the media.

Singer, Brittany Spears, is a prime example of cracking under the pressure of the constant weight of the tabloids and magazines negativity. Nearly pushed to insanity, Brittany Spears made a slow and steady recovery. 

Americans are on the edge of their seats to witness the birth and childrearing of Snooki’s child.

“I am frightened about her becoming a mom, that is scary,” said junior Kayla Jones.

Snooki’s pregnancy will increase the attention that she already receives from the media. It should be interesting to witness Snooki on her journey to parenthood.
