The Carroll County Food Service Department is responsible for serving the over 1600 students that are enrolled in the school districit. We have cafeterias located in the four schools. On an average month we serve 29,231 lunches, 13,330 breakfasts, and this does not include the ala carte items that are sold. The managers and their staffs strieve their very best to ensure the highest quality of food that is prepared for the students. The time schedules that the students eat are different at each school and the ladies are constantly preparing food to serve on the lines. Our menus are checked yearly by a dietician to ensure the caloric and fat content meet the federal and state guidelines. With all of this in mind, students who have a complaint about a food that was served and they do not let someone on the staff know that day, we can not make changes or check on the food item in question. We encourage any constructive input and criticism, and appreciate any ideas that may increase our participation.
