Squished between the skeletons and Christmas trees, Thanksgiving is a time when many reflect on what is important and count their many blessings.
Oprah Winfrey once said, “Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough.”
I am thankful for the life I live and the many opportunities I have been given. There are so many important people that have influenced me whom I can call my family and friends. Without these people, I can’t imagine what my life would be like. I am grateful each and every morning when I wake up that I have made it to live another day and have so much I can accomplish and look forward to.
All of us have bad days, but we can make the most out of each and every second. I know that everyone has something to be thankful for. I may not have every material advantage but I look at children in other countries and know that they would be ecstatic if they just had clothes on their back.
We only live once and we chose how we use our time that is given to us. You never know when your next day will be your last, so make time for those you love and tell them how much they mean to you.
Seize the moment; be thankful for what you have this Thanksgiving and on the other 364.
