At Washington High School there are 75% of students who don’t follow the dress code.

“Many students at Washington think just because there is no uniform that they can wear what they want,” said Junior, Stetson Barnett, Washington High. “ Student should be able to wear what they want.”

You can find the Kansas City, Kansas dress code in the Code of Conduct.

The dress code of Kansas City, Kansas is very noticeable; you can’t wear flip-flops, no sagging/baggy pants, short skirts, or sleeveless shirts.

“The policy that they have for the dress code isn’t right because that was the whole point of getting rid of uniforms,” said Barnett. “If students don’t follow the dress code I don’t think there should be consequences because teachers wear what they want.”

“Teachers and students should have the same dress code because if we have to wear what the administrators tell us to wear, teachers can be told too," said Barnett.

According to some kids, the way you dress affects students attitude because some students are jealous because of the way other kids dress.

“If the parents don’t care why should the teachers have any-thing to say?” said Barnett.

If you are trying to get a job there is a dress code. Everywhere you go there is a dress code.
