There are many different things a student should think about while getting their high school education. Whether you are a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior, you must always be thinking of your future. One of the main things a high school student should start thinking about is where they want to go to college.

For those who are not planning on going to a college in North Carolina, Emory University may be a school to consider. Emory University was established in 1836 and is located in Atlanta, Georgia. It is a private university whose mission statement is “to create, preserve, teach, and apply knowledge in the service of humanity.” 

Emory is a top twenty research university. According to the school website, Emory is  recognized all over the world for its outstanding liberal arts college and superb professional schools. It is also one of the Southeast’s leading health care systems. Emory University is also a leader in the research of HIV. Most patients with HIV take a drug that was created at Emory.

The campus at Emory is a peaceful, pedestrian-friendly environment, and is a fifteen minute drive from downtown Atlanta. So, for those who do not mind going to college out of state, and love the city, Emory may be the right University for you.
