Young Life is one of the biggest, if not the biggest club, here at MAHS.  As many teens struggle with fitting in and finding who they are, Young Life allows them to come, be themselves and just have fun!  From Club each Monday night, to a more intimate Campaigners on Thursday nights, Young Life offers something for everyone.  They teach about the love of Jesus Christ on a level anyone can understand.  

On Mondays, at Club, hilarious games are played, fun songs are screamed out, and an easy to follow lesson is taught.  God’s love and word is put into a teenager’s perspective by Young Life leaders Kristin and Eric Leathers.  Kristin and Eric are encouraging people who help high schoolers apply God’s word to their lives.  As new parents to their adorable little girl, Harper, Kristin and Eric are a wonderful example of a strong marriage and relationship.  

They put an emphasis on the fact that Young Life is for everyone.  Whether you come to see all your friends and have a safe, and fun place to hang out, or maybe you come to really get close to God and learn more about Him, no matter what, Young Life would love to have anyone!  

Kristin and Eric also focus on building relationships.  A relationship with the students is what they try to achieve so that they can share the love of Jesus Christ through friendship.  Many times you will see them at lunches walking around talking to many students.  You may also see Madison Lewis or Taylor Clark at lunches, too!  They help out with Young Life, and they were once in Young Life!

Young Life offers many opportunities for high schoolers.  In addition to Club and Campaigners, Surry County Young Life takes a trip each year to either Windy Gap or other Young Life camps.  A group from Surry County is also going to SharpTop Cove this summer for a week!
