StuCo changed the Feb. 19 informal Sweetheart dance to a neon Black-Out dance.
“We thought it would reach a different group of students,” StuCo member Kelsey Ketzner, junior, said. “I have wanted to have a Black-Out dance for awhile.”
At the dance everything will be neon. Glowing face paint will be available for purchase from cheerleaders, and StuCo will have glow necklaces for sale. Booths will also be set up with items.
StuCo is offering these booths to students for a $5 fee. The students will set up the booths and keep the rest of the profit they make.
“StuCo has also set up a Monster energy drink booth to try to make the dance more appealing to students,” StuCo president Sarah Quinn, junior, said.
Tickets to the Black-Out dance are $4 if purchased before the dance and $5 at the door.
