Roseville High School’s girls tennis team is currently holding a record of 2-1. Their last non league game was against Folsom High School on Thursday, September 16.

According to senior Kathleen Sweeney, the team has improved, especially with the new group of talent they have received.

The team played against the Rocklin Thunder last Thursday.  The Lady Tigers have not defeated the Thunder in girls tennis in over 24 years.

“I think this year is going great because we did better this year against Rocklin High,” said sophomore Alison Busch.

The team’s first league game was against Woodcreek High School last Tuesday where the team secured their first league victory, due to the new group of girls that have joined the team.

“We looked really well against them and it was a great way to get the nerves out for league,” said Sweeney.

The team’s next league games will be this Tuesday against Nevada Union High School and Thursday against Del Oro High School
