The new school year brings many new teachers and students, but most importantly, the Briar Woods High School freshman class of 2016.

With such a busy and full school, some freshmen have different feelings about starting high school.

“On my first day of school I was pretty excited but also a little intimidated by all the people in the halls,” Emma Deal, a freshman at Briar Woods said.

With around 2,000 kids in the Woods today, the hall ways are packed with students rushing to get to class on time. With two levels and many different hallways, it’s easy for a freshman to get lost; not to mention the trailers, which take time to get to in between classes. “I’m just now getting used to finding my classes and knowing where different rooms are in the school,” Madison Howard, a freshman at Briar Woods said. “It was so difficult on the first day of school.”

 Despite the difficulties, some freshman  say  they feel like they’ve grown up and feel more mature since the start of the 2012 school year.

The freshman class has a lot of school spirit and almost everyone says they’re proud to be part of the Falcon Family, finally.
