Some people really don’t like to learn life lessons any more unless they are  funny. This year’s play will teach students life lessons and make it fun to watch.

“It’s funny and entertaining,” Elliott Plumley, senior, said.

The play is a classic called You Can’t Take it With You. It’s about a family who just relaxes and does as they please. Their house is very warm and welcoming, that many who come to visit never leave. Originally, the house was just the family house, now it’s the family plus some visitors whom the family allowed to stay there because they have become so laid back they just don’t care anymore.

The main character, Grandpa Vanderhof played by senior Ben Smith, is a war veteran who  gave up his intellectual job to stay home to do as he pleases.

“I tried out because the four seniors - me, Elliott Plumley, Ryan Slanzka, and Garrett Yord - made a pact to try out as a senior thing” Smith said.

The Grandpa is joined by his daughter, penny, played by Camille Paris; her husband, Pau, played by Ryan Slanzka; and their two daughters, Essie, played by Mignnone Rogers, and Alice, payed by Michaela Thompson. Elliott Plumley takes on the part of Ed Charmicael, Essie’s   husband, and Caleb Hoffman plays Tony Kirby, Alice’s love inerest. Chaos ensues when  Tony’s parents, plated by Price Carter and Lauren Casey arrive for dinner with  Alice and her family.

The play is April 3rd and 4th the tickets cost $5 in advance and $6 at the door.
