Bulldog Crush Carrizo Springs 34-0

This week’s video clips include interviews with seniors Travis Hubble and Zach Young and Coach Blake Nesrtsa.  They are available by clicking the SPORTS icon. 

     Despite having many Bulldogs getting sick at half time, the Dogs stepped out and still did an amazing job coming out on top of Carrizo Springs 34-0. 

    The “Top Dogs” this week in rushing are: senior Travis Hubble with 9 rushes for 121 yards and a TD, senior Tyler Stevens with 2 rushes for 91 yards including a 70 yd. TD run, and sophomore Ryan Walker with 7 rushes for 25 yards including a 2 yd. run for a TD.

    Senior QB Cole Hubble threw 7-14 for 121 yards.  His leading receivers were: senior Cisco Ruiz had 4 catches for 81 yards including a TD reception, sophomore Colby Stewart had 2 receptions for 18 yards and senior Davis Morrow went 2 for 34 yards.

    
In the first quarter, with 3:58 left, Travis Hubble had a 5 yd TD run followed by an extra point from senior Sterling Yurrita.  In the second quarter, with only 0:48 left, QB Hubble threw a 35yd TD pass to Cisco Ruiz making the score 13-0 Bulldogs at the half. 

    
In the third quarter, with 8:44 left, Hubble threw another 19yd TD pass to Ruiz followed by Yurrita’s extra point making the score 27-0 Dogs.

    The final touchdown scored by the Bulldogs was a 2yd run by Walker, capped by Yurrita’s extra point sealing the scoring at 34-0 Bandera.

       This Friday’s Homecoming game features the Bandera Bulldogs (4-1) versus the Crystal City Javelinas beginning at 7:30PM.  Pre-game festivities include the crowning of Mr. and Mrs. BHS, starting at 6:30PM.
