With Christmas right around the corner, what better way to get into the holiday spirit then by watching your favorite Christmas movies? There are always the classic movies, for me my favorite is “A Nightmare Before Christmas”. It’s a little bit of Halloween and Christmas, and who doesn’t love Jack and Sally.

For the more recent Christmas movies I would recommend “Elf” if you’re looking for something funny. Will Ferrell is hilarious as a human who has been raised as an elf and is now living in New York.

Another movie that’s fairly new this year is “A Christmas Carol,” it’s an animated version of the traditional Christmas story of the scrooge. An old man whose view of Christmas is one of disgust, is visited by three ghosts who try and show him why Christmas is important. It’s a good movie to watch if you’re forgetting the importance yourself.

If you want to watch a movie that is sure to remind you of the true meaning of Christmas then “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” is what you’re looking for. It’s got comedy and a heart warming moral that will bring what Christmas is all about back into perspective.

Christmas movies are a definite way to get you excited for the holidays. With two weeks off from school for Christmas break, why not stay in and watch one of your favorite movies whether it’s old or new.
