Kyle Miller, junior class president, said, “With only a $2,500 dollar budget, give or take, prom is about 96% done.” Miller discussed how prom is coming together, and how he is excited to see how it all turns out for the dance. Miller said, “Though real gambling is not allowed, we have been working hard to make it seem as casino-like as possible.” At the entrance to the dance will have two large cardboard poker chips decorated in lights to start off with the feel of Vegas." Miller said, “The location could not be any better. It will be held at the Harrisburg Holiday Inn Hotel ball room, which could not be any better to give the prom in
Vegas vibe.”
Though Miller is the final decision maker, junior Amanda Rickens has been very active in making decor plans. Rickens is the class historian, but has great plans to make prom look as Vegas as possible. Rickens says, “The dice columns are my favorite, but I cannot wait to see how the balloon arches come out.” She also talked about a Vegas mural that will be hanging on the wall that is currently being discussed. Rickens is proud that she was the one to come up with the theme colors red, white, black, and silver accents. Rickens said, “We seem to be on good time since prom is May 5th and everything needs to be ready by 6:30 that day. We have been working diligently to get everything done and make it perfect.”
