Extravaganza! - McConnell
Wednesday, May 23, 2012 By Dara McConnell
On Friday, May 25th, students have the option to participate in the East Pennsboro Area High School Extravaganza-Paloozathon-A-Mania! Junior Eileen Waznik is excited for the end of the school year; however, she does not plan to spruce up the school year by attending this activity; “I would go, but I really don’t want to spend the twenty dollars just to go.” Although the Extravaganza may be slightly pricy, all the proceeds earned go to the Family Fund, an organization created to help families who are lacking in finances. Waznik stated that she did go her freshman year, “It was alright, we watched movies, participated in lots of random activities, and ate so much food.” Despite not going to the Extravaganza-Paloozathon-A-Mania this year, Waznik does agree that is a good, fun day to get out of classes.
Freshman Alex Klucker could not be more excited to participate in the Extravaganza-Paloozathon-A-Mania, “I’m really excited to get out of English class. Nobody wants to be stuck in there on a beautiful Friday afternoon!” Klucker, being a freshman, does not know what to expect, but he anticipates there will be lots of sports activities such as volleyball, basketball, and maybe baseball out in the field. “If this years Extravaganza is fun, I will most likely go again next year. Heck, I’ll probably go again next year either way just to get out of class!” Students may be missing some valuable learning time, but a different lesson will be learned through all the money being donated to charity. We hope East Pennsboro’s Extravaganza-Paloozathon-A-Mania will be a huge success this year!
