Rialto Winter Sports Rally was a new experience for many of our peers. Although many of the teams believed it was a bit late, because there are only a couple of games left in the season to play.

The rally started off with some class spirit instructed by our sport announcer, Rigo, and background music performed by our Knights Band. After, the winter sport members came out and sat quietly while they were being introduced by one of their members. As each team was recognized, when they were finished, the team would get up and together they recited their spirit cheer. The teams had a little competition going, on who can get their team through a hula hoop while holding hands faster. Who was the winner? The Boys Varsity Soccer Team by working together and using their soccer skills, our one and only cheerleaders perform an amusing routine. They used a mixture of songs that are popular, while they combined routine moves and smiled throughout. Not all the cheerleader performed at the rally. There was about 10-15, but they still managed to get the crowd going and fill it with school spirit.

The Hip Hop team also took the floor. The girls performed two songs named “She Ain’t Got No Money in the Bank” and “Wild’n’Out” by Nick Cannon. We asked one of the members what she thought about the performance. “It was fun, tight, and we enjoyed performing,” Carlesha Wilder said.

To end the rally before the dismissal bell rang, Announcer Rigo had a small event going. He wanted to see who from the winter sport teams could make a basket from mid-court. If someone made it in, they would get a small gift from ASB. The teams lined up to try it out, at first no one made it in. One of out Knights got up from the stands and decided to take the challenge. Succeeding and receiving his gift, he sat down on the stands and show the school that it can be achieved. After him making it in, more of our peers began to make it in. The line became longer, but had to be cut down because the bell rang.
