With the Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) Test approaching in just a week, the Titan Ledger caught up with Ms. Lee,the Vice Principle of Luther Burbank High School, to discuss about the importance of the STAR test and why students need to take it seriously.
Titan ledger: What is so important on taking the star test and why should people be serious about it?
Ms.Lee: It is an assessment of what students have learned and is used as an indicator to show how students perform in their academics and the overall API (Academic Performance Indicator) It basically shows how much the students know.
Titan Ledger: How is the schedule going to be like?
Ms. Lee:

Titan Ledger:When are we getting the test results?
Ms. Lee: The results will be in on August of the same year.
Titan ledger:How do you personally feel about the STAR test?
Ms Lee: It provides a certain since of data but it does not reflect the school as a whole.
“STAR data really doesnt tell the whole picture”
