Ok, so how many of you have heard about Katy Perry and Elmo’s fall out? I’m assuming the majority of you have. This issue caught my attention and I thought I should share my opinions on it with you.

To get the facts straight this clip never aired on actual television. It was only played on Sesame Street’s U-Tube page. Then because of parent feedback that Sesame Street received regarding Perry’s cleavage the show never aired.

“The clip was slated to run during ‘Sesame Street’s’ upcoming season but has been pulled due to protests from parents who found Perry’s outfit to e too provocative” This quote, from the article in People magazine, explains why Perry’s clip was cut.

Right before this quote though, it says, “At this time we’d like to point out the double standard at work here, as Elmo wears no pants”.

This issue is completely ridiculous to me. “Sesame Street” is geared toward preschoolers and how many preschoolers do you know that even know what cleavage is? I mean really guys?

In my opinion kids are over sheltered these days. The world is a rough place I know that but we need to let our kids be kids. If we are stressing over things like Perry’s cleavage we are not worried about when you’re going to take your kids to the park.

Parents are to worried about the little things and because of this their children suffer. In my honest opinion I do not think that Katy Perry should have been kicked off “Sesame Street”.

If you haven’t figured it out by now I strongly disagree with this decision and hope you will respond and tell me what you think about it.
