Loyalsock High School has a complex gym schedule. They have intense sports and activities to get the body in shape and moving around. For the past two weeks, Miss Massetti has been teaching Ultimate Frisbee. The students are split into two different teams. The disc can be moved in any direction to their teammate. Once the teammate catches it they have to come to a complete stop and from there they can only move their non-pivot foot. The students have ten seconds to throw the disc to another player. During those seconds, that is call ‘stall.’ The goal is to pass it to a player in their end zone. That is how each team scores during the game. There are also chances for the opposing team to get the disc. A teammate with the disc could go out of bounds, fail to pass to teammate, interception, or even not passing within the ten seconds. After the team scores, the teams exchange the end zones. This sport is pretty much derived from soccer. There is a lot of physical activity involved in this sport and that is the reason that Miss Massetti has her gym classes participate in it.
