“Just go for it,” said Samuel Parsons plainly. This is probably the
best advice that anyone could ever give to an inspiring artist. This is
the attitude that is portrayed in the rising circus themed band, The
Venetia Fair. With Benny Santoro (vocals), Samuel Parsons (bass), Chris
Constantino (drums), Joe Occhiuti (Piano/accordion), and Mr. Chark
(guitar); (five of the most incredibly talented, and crazy boys that
you will ever meet) it is easy to see why the Venetia Fair is rising in
the music industry at such an abnormally quick rate.
Having only been a band since 2006, and releasing their 2009 debut
album “The Circus” at www.purvoleme.com/thevenetiafair and on iTunes,
it is surprising that everyone does not know them. The musical talents
that these boys have obtained are incredible, each having mastered two
or even more instruments. They all “egged each other on, I’m not sure
that if we hadn’t all met like we did, any of us would still be in a
band at all” Parsons explained. The boys recently followed Warped Tour,
and plan to do so again this year. They are also currently on tour,
with Kiss Kiss and Trophy Scars. When asked about tour, Parsons had
this to say, “Tour is the greatest thing in the world. Sometimes bands
suffer from people moping around and missing home, but not us!”
The sounds of The Venetia Fair are just what you would expect to hear
when you go to a circus. It has an upbeat tempo that will make your
hair stand on end. Their sound is creepy, yet calming. There really is
not another sound outhere that reminds you of The Venetia Fair.
Although they may sound a little rough around the edges when listening
to them, this is all explained when seeing them live.
“They are extremely energetic and they know how to make people get crazy!” says local show attendee, Danika Holmes.
The Venetia Fair has also recently been advertised in Alternative Press
Magazine and just released their music video for “The Ringleader” on
www.buzzgrinder.com. In order to see this wild and crazy performance,
go to www.myspace.com/thevenetiafair to see when they are playing in a
town near you.
