Semen. Any science teacher would tell you that it is a perfectly natural bodily fluid produced in the male reproductive organs. Well, what if that same “perfectly natural bodily fluid” was placed on a spoon or a cookie by your teacher, and then fed to you while you were blindfolded? On top of that, what if your teacher took pictures of the whole thing, and then gave you copies of them? Sounds morbid, right? That’s what I thought.

This very thing happened at Miramonte Elementary School in the Los Angeles Unified School District, and it took a year for officials to charge the third grade teacher Mark Berndt with lewd conduct. On top of that, there had been students that told their counselor for years that Mr. Berndt did things like “move his hand under his desk near his lap,” but the Administration didn’t find these complaints serious enough to report.

LAUSD is trying to convince me that they actually have the students’ best interests at heart, but if that were true, then the parents of the children would have been notified when the allegations about the teacher first came out last year. That way, the parents could adequately decide if they wanted to keep their kids in that type of environment. Not only did this teacher assault seven and eight-year-olds, he also had a secretary that lured the students into his classroom! A school is the last place this kind of situation should be happening in. But if it did occur, not only the Administration, but the district should be doing one hell of a job to make sure all of their students are properly protected afterward, not brushing off allegations and leaving the teacher employed. Instead, what LAUSD really cares about is what they look like on the surface.

There is a thing called the teachers union, which started as a way to help good teachers, but subsequently turned into a way to protect bad teachers and makes it close to impossible to fire a teacher who let’s say committed a crime, but are not completely incompetent.

This is complete and utter crap and allows more and more sick teachers to get away with things like molestation, child pornography, etc...

In 2008, the website TeachersUnionExposed.com did a search throughout the nation to find the ten worst union-protected teachers and offered them $10,000 to quit teaching. Though they did find winners, none of them agreed to take the money, choosing instead to continue working in the environment in which they can still prey on unsuspecting children. It is sad that this- bribery is the only way to get these disgusting, twisted, human beings away from a classroom setting. That same teacher that has been charged with 23 accounts of lewd conduct, is now being paid $40, 000 in back pay and legal fees by LAUSD, and more so, the district has agreed to let him keep his life-time health benefits. If that’s the punishment for feeding children semen, then where can I sign up?

Situations like these occur every day, yet are kept unsaid because administrations don’t find complaints serious enough. Teachers walk in on students in locker rooms, teachers poke and touch students inappropriately, teachers say things that they just shouldn’t say to minors. And, it all goes unsaid because the district doesn’t want to deal with the consequences of their teachers’ actions.

Instead, they do things like fire all of the teachers at the school to make it look like they are affectively achieving some obstacle, when really they act as cowards. What are they afraid of really? The truth? Because the truth is going to come out sooner or later, no matter how hard you try to hide it.
