Most have the heard the phrase that a little white lie is innocent. They may be innocent, but they drive me absolutely insane.

     
I understand that sometimes a lie may seem necessary to parents or to not hurt someone’s feelings because I have done it many times. Things start to bother me a bit more when there are streams of lies that have no significant reason behind them.

     
Most people know at least one person who lies all the time. The worst reason for lying, though, is personal benefit. Although it seems like all lies are selfish, there are different levels of extremity.

There is also the typical case of girls when they lie about hanging out with each other because they did not invite someone. We all know they did, so why they lie about is beyond me.

The world would be a much simpler place if we all just decided to tell the truth, but this is obviously a dream situation.

The next time somebody lies, I might just explode.
