With April coming just around the corner, the girls and guys at Nelson County High School are already planning for prom. Girls have been scrambling around looking for their perfect dress, while the guys have been trying to build up the courage to ask the girl of their choice to be their date.

Finding the perfect dress is always the most important thing for a girl. It has to fit just right, and be the right length and color. Some girls are more picky than others, but over all they have to be satisfied. 

Thankfully, there are many different shops all over Kentucky for girls to find the dress of their choice. Shops like DEB, JCPenny, Body Shop, Geno’s, Bridal Warehouse, Dillards, and lots of other places.

Senior Nicole B. found her dress at Geno’s in Elizabethtown and said, “I really enjoy the process of picking out my dress because Geno’s made me feel like I was a little girl playing dress up.” Says Nicole B.

“They gave me great opinions and made sure my dress fit perfectly, and I know that I’m the only one who will have that dress because when I bought it they typed in my school name and now they won’t let anyone else from my school buy the same dress.”

It seems that every year the styles and colors of prom dresses are becoming more unique and exotic. Girls everywhere are looking for that one dress that everyone will notice, and that no one else will have. To a lot of girls, its’ all about showing off  their girly side and expressing themselves by the look of the dress.

“This year I’m hoping, since its’ my senior prom, that it will be the best and that I’ll remember it forever.” Says Nicole B.
