What do blazers, tweed, leather, ruffles, and the 80’s all have in common? Fall Fashion 2009. This season focuses on bringing back the trends of our past while adding an updated touch.
This fall dare to wear the attention grabbing leggings that compliment your fabulous Afghan or peplum coat. Not a fan of leggings? Try a one shoulder dress or accordion pleat neckline shirt. Both of these chic, décolletage articles will cause people to look your way. If you are comfortable with the idea of masculine-femininity, add a tailored blazer and tweed to your wardrobe.
Leather, faux fur, and ruffles are also fun experiments. If you dare to try leather, think tasteful, not biker! Consider leather jackets, pants or leggings, paired with an oversized knit.
Do not forget to sport color and accessories. Red, neon pink, burnt orange, deep teal, and purple are in vogue. Make a statement with bold jewelry; strands of oversized pearls, jewels, and chains are must-haves. Small or large, handheld bags are indubitable. Long leather gloves made it to the runway, but they can be left there. No one needs to spend a fortune on something so insignificant.
Take advantage of these retro styles and deviate from ordinary stores in the mall, such as ForeverXXI. Thrift and discount department stores offer a greater variety of assorted articles at more affordable prices.
