Diagram of the Ken and the Tama - Kendama USA
Today, most toys are made of cheap pieces of plastic and involve the user mindlessly pressing flashing buttons with no gain or real entertainment. Kendama is a Japanese toy which improves hand eye coordination, reflexes and balance. The handle of the Kendama is called the “Ken” and the “Tama” is the ball connected to the Ken by a 16-inch string. The Tama has a small hole in the bottom slightly larger than the spike on top of the Ken. The multiple cups and spike allow the player to enjoy a countless combination of tricks with seemingly endless fun. Kendama is very addictive as one generally wants to be able to succeed and get better at it. Unlike most other mindless electronic toys or video games Kendama stimulates the user's mind and over time increases balance, hand eye coordination and reflexes. The Kendama is not only for children as it can be enjoyable at any level of difficulty using it. Kendama can be played anytime anywhere as it is portable, very fun, and a great time killer sure to draw some positive attention from those around you. Although it is not known on Cape Cod yet people seem very interested by it. So, for endless fun anytime anywhere and an increase in balance, hand eye coordination and reflexes check out kendamausa.com to get your hands on one today.
