After a long day of preparing and getting glitzed up, stars flooded the red carpet in multiple looks. Some were seen in gorgeous gowns and others in some ugly ones.  This was also the case at The Oscars after Party. Many celebrities showed up at various locations, some that only went to the parties and some that attended both the Oscars and the after parties. Here are some that stood out to me.

Best:

   Jennifer Lopez, wearing Zuhair Murad attended, the Vanity Fair bash. Although I was not a fan of her first Oscar look, I do have to admit that I love this. I don’t like how the neckline is SO plunged but the color is fantastic and looks awesome with her skin tone. I also thought that her hair went a lot better with this dress than the other one. Not to mention I’m a sucker for sequins and sparkles!

   Sofia Vergara, wearing Roberto Cavalli, also attended the Vanity Fair party and looked stunning- as always! The white brought out her beautiful Spanish complexion and the lace added a nice pre-spring touch. I also liked how she threw in a colorful clutch with the big silver jewelry. It kept it simple but classy and didn’t over power the dress at all!

   Katy Perry, wearing Blumarine, attended Elton John’s viewing party. I think she looked absolutely beautiful and I’m so glad that no matter how she feels about the divorce she is not staying home. She has continuously been showing up and looking more fabulous than ever! Congrats to her- you look great and I love the sparkles.

   Selena Gomez, wearing Dolce and Gabbana, attended Vanity Fair. Her dress looked very mature and elegant. She is definitely growing up and has developed a very classy and pretty style. The structure of the dress looks great on her and her hair along with her accessories worked great.

   Cameron Diaz, wearing Victoria Beckham, attended Vanity Fair as well. Even though her look was much more casual than others, I think she chose a sleek dress that looked perfect on her. I also love the color she chose; it complimented her skin tone and hair color perfectly.

   Miley Cyrus, wearing Roberto Cavalli, attended Elton John’s viewing party with beau Liam Hemsworth.  Yes I do have to agree with critics that it does make her look old, but I totally love this. It looks so elegant and I love her hair and her makeup. I must point out too that people said that she should have shown off her “young” body, but when she has she is always criticized. I think this look was appropriate- give her a break.

Worst:

   Gwen Stefani, wearing Zuhair Murad, attended Elton John’s party. Stefani, like many other stars, found her dress on the runway. After looking at it on the runway I thoguht this dress was interesting and cute but Gwen does not do it justice. I think it is too young for her and it is unflattering to her figure. The way she styled her hair was also a bad choice and drew attention to her figure more.

   Elizabeth Olsen, wearing Christian Dior, attended Vanity Fair.  She is the beautiful younger sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen; however she did not show that at the Vanity Fair party. Her dress was not flattering and had too much variety with the mix of fabrics. Her style is usually fabulous, but she sadly disappointed that night.

   Rosario Dawson, wearing Salvatore Ferragamo, also attended Vanity Fair. This was just bizarre and completely wrong. For this event her dress was too bright and dramatic. It looks cheap and not appropriate. Her hair is too casual for the event and dress. It’s just bad.

   Kate Beckinsale, wearing Versace, attended Vanity Fair and definitely disappointed. She is a stunning woman and her dress was awful. The pattern was wrong and wasn’t very pretty, the cuts were awkward and the mesh lining took away from the elegant look of the dress. I do have to say her hair was very pretty and the colors complimented her skin tone, I just wish she would have gone with something not so busy.
