at WMS

On Sept. 12, the iPhone 5 was released. It is much more advanced than any other of the iPhones and caused a great commotion everywhere.
Three Watertown Middle School seventh-graders -- Sydney, Emily, and Lauren -- were really excited about the iPhone 5.
“When I went to the Apple store, I tried it out and it was really light and fast,” said Lauren.
However, Sara, an eighth-grader at WMS, wasn’t so excited.
“It’s no big deal and everyone’s making a big deal out of it,” she said.
Still, it’s up to the customer to decide if it is truly a dream phone.
The iPhone 5 is a thinner, lighter design than the past iPhones. It has a 4-inch Retina display, ultrafast wireless, and increased browsing, downloading, and streaming content capability at blazing fast speeds. It now has a A6 chip and its performance and graphics are up to twice as fast as the iPhone 4S.
The height is 4.87 inches, the width is 2.31 inches, its depth a mere .3 inches, and it weighs only 3.95 ounces.
Siri is greatly improved, and now speaks in nine languages.
The iPhone 5 has 8 megapixels, which makes the new iSight camera even better. It also has an autofocus system to zoom in on things more carefully so, if there is a perfect picture that’s too far away, the camera can zoom in and it won’t be blurry, like it is on the past iPhones. The camera can take still photos while taking videos, and has advanced face detection software.
The new iSight camera also shoots in panorama to enable larger pictures to fit on the screen.
If a customer wants an iPhone 5 with 16GB, then it costs a $199 upgrade.
The maps are improved and it has iOs 6, which is the new update for the iPhone 5. ICloud is new and some apps are already built in when clients get the iPhone.
The iPhone 5 has lots of battery time, up to eight hours on 3G, eight hours on LTE, and up to 10 hours with Wi-Fi. Standby, the Iphone 5 is on and running for 225 hours.
The battery connector is even more advanced. It is thinner and is double-sided, smarter, and more durable. The charger is double-sided, making it easier to charge while using your iPphone.
The earphones are shaped so they can fit in ears better, and are more remote and have better microphones.
The iPphone comes in black and slate or white and silver, has an extra row for apps, and a bigger screen.
IPhone 5 is said to be stronger than Samsung Galaxy S3s. The iPhone 5 has more advanced software than many other phones and compared to what it does, it is incredibly cheap.The Samsung Galaxy S3 is anywhere from $700, while the iPhone 5 costs around $200 without a contract. The Motorola Droid is worth $629. Even the BlackBerry’s most advanced phone, the Blackberry Bold 9900, costs $624 and it’s only 2GB, and its technology doesn’t rival the technology of the iPhone.
The iPhone 5 seems like a great phone, one to take pictures, contact friends, use like a computer, and much more!
