Colds and flus may be spreading throughout WMS, but Bieber Fever and One Direction Infection are definitely worse!
Watertown Middle School is torn between two completely different music groups. One Direction is definitely a favorite of many, but Justin Bieber has almost the same reaction.
Conversations, notebooks, and folders are mostly centering around the battle of the boys. Just walking down the hall at WMS will show how split this school is. Justin Bieber and One Direction tickets and merchandise is definitely at the top of many students’ wish lists.
So what exactly are students at WMS saying about these world-wide sensations? Jeannie N., a seventh-grader said, “One Direction inspires me because they get a lot of hate, but they put that aside and never give up.”
Most fans of One Direction had similar feelings. Many said they felt this boy band not only had the talent, but also very good looks.
Shannon H., a sixth-grader, had a different look: “Justin Bieber does good deeds with his money, like donates to charities. He is a great role model because he inspires you to never give up.”
A lot of Bieber fans mentioned Justin’s lyrics and how his words impacted them. Of course, Beliebers mentioned that Justin is not too bad looking, either.
Maddie L., a seventh-grader with “Bieber Fever,” shared: “He influences kids to make good choices and inspires kids to follow their dreams and never say never.”
Most boys at WMS completely disagree with the opinions of the crazy girls. Michael F., a seventh-grader, said, “I don’t like either singers.”
However, a couple of kids have a hard time choosing between the two.
“I love them equally because they both work hard in their own ways,” said WMS seventh-grader Julia C.
The buzz at WMS is clear, the spirit is strong for both musical talents.
