Tuesday, January 01, 2013 By Watertown Splash staff [ArticleImageHyperLink] Advertising Looking back on the best of 2012 Watertown Splash reporters ask: 'What was your favorite memory?'     Let’s take a flashback to Jan. 1, 2012, the first day of something no one imagines, a perfect year of partying, working, learning, and dancing ...     One thing many people enjoyed was the sensation that went all over YouTube, “Gangnam Style,” performed by the artist Psy.     Eva M., a seventh-grader at Watertown Middle School, said, “I liked 2012 a lot because it was an easy year to remember, it was also one of the best years of my life,” she said. “2012 was a very happy and eventful year for me.” Some people liked 2012 for starting a new school or grade, meeting new friends or seeing old ones.     The Watertown Splash was curious about 2012, so the reporters went out and asked one question: “What was your favorite thing that happened in 2012?” Here are some of the responses.          “My favorite was the first day of seventh grade when I got to meet so many nice kids and awesome funny teachers.” -- Stella P., Watertown Middle School     “Best part was starting high school.” -- Ani M., freshman, Lexington High     “I really liked 2012 because in school I met a lot of new friends that came this year and most of them are my best friends now.” -- Tamara A.     “Getting on the Belmont girls’ basketball team.” -- Rubina, seventh-grader, Chenery Middle School     “Best part is winning the New England elite tournament.” -- Sergio S.     “My favorite part about 2012 is going on the sixth-grade field trip to Canobie Lake Park.
