Annual WMS drive ends Jan. 11

Just four more days.
You only have four more days to bring in all your coats (old or newly bought) for Watertown Middle School’s annual Coats for Kids drive.
As of Monday, Jan. 7, the school had collected approximately 275 coats. That is a lot less than WMS had last year’s total of 757 coats, so your help is needed.
This year’s drive ends Friday, Jan. 11.
If you took two two minutes from your day to look for just one coat, it would make a difference.
All people have to do to help is bring their winter coats or snowsuits and place them in the cardboard boxes by the WMS main office, or send it in with your student.
Donated coats will be picked up by Anton’s Cleaners for cleaning and then given to families in need.
The school is looking for warm winter jackets, new or gently used. The coats can be any size and do not have to only be for children.
According to WMS principal Kimo Carter, there is a demand for extra large, infant, and toddler sizes.
The school isn’t looking for light sweaters, jackets, vests, spring coats, mittens, gloves, or coats with rips, tears, broken zippers, or permanent stains.
Please bring in your coats, take the two minutes to make a person warmer this winter.
