The dangling of bracelets is a familiar sound to all Watertown Middle School students -- Alex and Ani bracelets that is!
These bracelets have been a real hit at WMS, with bangle-like bracelets stacked tall upon most girls’ wrists. Most girls have either the colorful beaded style or classic bangle with a unique charm.
“I love Alex and Ani bracelets,’’ said Tia P., a seventh-grader. “I like how they have a ton of different styles and charms!”
Not only girls, but also teachers have been wearing Alex and Ani jewelry.
The brand Alex and Ani has been very successful for the past few years and has grown in popularity among fashionistas. The bracelets and other jewelry items (necklaces, earrings, and rings) are all eco-friendly and infused with energy. All of the jewelry is made from recycled products, such as reused scraps from refineries. Each jewelry piece is made in the United States and designed by Carolyn Rafaelian.
Alex and Ani bracelets can usually be bought at any local jewelry store. The prices of these bracelets range from about $20 to $60 dollars.
The company also makes unique bracelets for charities, and those jewelry pieces will have a small hanging square charm that has “Charity by Design” engraved on it.
