KHS celebrates Winter Carnival in field house
Saturday, March 20th, KHS hosted the annual Winter Carnival in the Kate Walton field house. This year's theme was super heroes/super villains. Many clubs participated and sold food, but somewhere in the mix of food and games, there was one wrestling mat and wrestlers ready to lose to little kids.

While parents worried that their child might win a fish from the class of 2011 booth, many led their children over to the wrestling team's booth to release the pent up energy of the day and challenge a wrestler. Winning against one of the top wrestlers, such as senior Mike McGrath, gained you respect from the other little kids around you as you walked away with either three pieces of candy or a button saying, "Future KHS Wrestler."

After a day of losing match after match, the sweaty wrestlers rolled up the mats and deposited their well-earned money to Student Government.

In the end, everyone left the field house with their pockets empty, their stomachs filled, "Bananaphone" forever embedded into their brain, and the knowledge and courage to take down a wrestler.
