On Monday May 17, the band put on their annual spring concert. The symphonic, concert, wind ensemble, and all of the jazz groups performed.
"It was quite sucessful," said senior Megan Tucker. "Everyone seemed to enjoy the Beatles music at the end of the show."
Each band performed three or four pieces, and intertwined between the bands were solos and trios, all perfromed by All State soloists.
"All of the all state solos blew me away. It's so great to hear the talent that is somewhat hidden in the band. You get to appreciate their talents even more," said freshman Miles Nicholas.
Last night's concert was also a celebration of one of the band teachers, Bob Shaut's retirement. The bands played an arrangement of the star spangled banner and an arrangement of Beatles songs done by Shaut that all three of the bands performed at the end. Shaut has been a music educator for over thirty years.
