Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. This comedy tells the story of San Diego’s number one news team. Although their crew is full of misfits that would not be expected to be on a professional news team, they all bring their own personality to take their team to the top. Ron Burgundy, played by Will Ferrell, is the top dog in this male-dominated business. At least he is, until the new girl rolls into town. Veronica Corningstone, played by Christina Applegate, comes into this game planning to take it all, including Burgundy’s job as lead anchor.
This movie is an extremely goofy parody of how chaotic a news crew can get. The director picked the best possible actors for this film. Will Ferrell really does a fantastic job playing his part. He keeps the story going with his hilarious remarks and overall silly personality. Steve Carell is also a huge contribution. Every movie he is in is absolutely phenomenal.
Even though this movie came out back in June of 2004, it’s one that you’ll find never gets old. After you watch it once, you’re hooked. Anchorman is a movie for teenagers and young adults. It does have quite a bit of bad language, so I wouldn’t recommend it for children. If you love a good laugh, this movie is perfect for you.
