As you may know, each year at ILS, students participate in running for elections in being a part of the school campaign. This is something that is important to most students and can also affect their grade because the board's job is to represent them. During this time of the year students are already preparing themselves for class elections, including the new senior class of 2013.
Seniors become the base of the school and have an important duty to set an example to the underclassmen. It is necessary that the senior class has good representatives, that way the other students can follow by example and also feel free to help in any way. Each member of the board has a specific task that they need to accomplish throughout the school and each role carries its own importance. One of the most high ranked roles is that of President. This requires many characteristics that one must have in order to run a class or even the whole school.
Junior Tony Diaz has managed to win every election since freshmen year by being elected President. This year, Tony has decided to run not just for class President, but for school President. The good news is that he won the election and will now be the school's top student leader. This will be good for ILS because he has been consistent in improving the school for the junior class so now he will have the opportunity to do the same but for the entire school body. The senior class board has not yet been elected but will soon be. ILS will be able to expand and become better in every aspect with the new representatives that are elected.
