The school year is winding down and finals are closing in on us.  Summer is almost here! I think everyone is ready for a trip away from school. This means sleeping in, no more tests, plenty of sun, et cetera. What I am looking forward to is going to Colorado, California, and Yellowstone National Park for two weeks in August with my family! There is a lot on the agenda, and I’m excited! Sure, I’ll take my sweet ol’ time ‘til August comes around, soaking up the summer until then. This trip will be incredibly exciting for me because I’ve never been to California. (Going for a wedding when I was three doesn’t count!) It’s a place where I have always wanted to go and explore!  The same goes for Colorado. My father lived in Colorado for a couple of summers when he was around my age, and I can't wait to see where he lived when he was younger. Traveling to Colorado, California, and Yellowstone National Park has been something I have wanted to do for ages, and I’m psyched and excited to be doing this with my summer!
