Well, summer is almost here, and with summer comes the new movie season. There’s a little something for everyone this year, and most of it will probably be in 3D. Here are some movies everyone should keep their eyes open for.
One of the movies many people are looking forward to is Snow White and the Huntsman starring Kristen Stewart. As the name implies, this is a re-vamped version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves that was made famous by Walt Disney. Of course, this version doesn’t seem quite as cute and vintage. Expect it on June 1st, even though you all should be slaving away over your study guides for finals, not going to see movies.
One movie I’m surprisingly looking forward to seeing is Rock of Ages, a movie version of the super-popular Broadway musical. This movie stars Julianne Hough, Tom Cruise, Mary J. Blige, and Alec Baldwin, who, in my opinion, has no reason for being in this film. I’m sorry, but what music experience does he have? Anyway, now that we have musicals and fairytale-adventure-dramas out of the way, let’s hop skip and jump our way to the movie my dorky friends have all been waiting for: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Long story short, vampires were the real cause of the Civil War, and now Abraham Lincoln, on top of being president and trying to keep our country together, has to stop said vampires from taking over the world. Realistic? I think so.
