Award-winning jazz, good food, and a peaceful atmosphere right in Merrimac? You’d be hard-pressed to find a better way to spend your Wednesday evening.
This Wednesday starting at 6:30pm, the Pentucket Jazz Combo is playing at the Rhythm Café in Merrimac.
The group recently earned first place in the Berklee High School Jazz Festival—which happens to be the largest contest of its kind in the country.
Eddie Gaudet, Duncan Tarr, and Josh Torvi will be playing on Wednesday night, without, unfortunately, pianist Joe D’Amore, as the quaint café doesn’t fit a piano.
The group is known for their unique sound, pushing the boundaries of what is commonly labeled “jazz.”
This event may be among the last at which bassist Tarr, a senior, will be playing with the group. His talent is sure to be missed in the upcoming years, so don’t miss this chance to hear the group now before it changes next year!
