Wednesday March 7^th, Vista Grande’s track team traveled to Saguaro High school to compete against Saguaro and Flowing Wells. Shelby Frye took first place in the Varsity Heat for girls Discs with 78 ft, Cheyenne Martin placed second with 75ft, and Kaitlyn Montano placed fourth with 65ft.Ghaleb Al-Saleh placed first in Boys Varsity disc with his farthest throw being over 140 ft, and Varsity boys shot put at 44ft. Sam Reeves took first for boys JV discs throwing 90ft, followed by Tyler Souligne who took second throwing 88ft.

Although Vista Grande didn’t take first at the meet as a whole, all athletes did a great job. They are only a little ways into a season that could send varsity athletes to state. Good luck to all athletes as they progress through their season.
