Azteca: Carnivore vs. Vegetarian Part 1
Advertising

Vegetarian

Wait For Food: About ten minutes. While waiting you are given chips, salsa, and ranch dip to tide you over.

Ambience: The restaurant is very clean and calm. It was definitely something to look at, but it wasn’t overbearing. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Smelling the rich sent of Mexican cuisine just leaves your mouth watering.

Chow Down: I ordered the Vegetarian Meal E. It consisted of one bean burrito covered in delicious nacho cheese, one cheese quesadilla, and one cheese enchilada. I was surprised at the amount of choices that are offered for vegetarians. You are given so many options, not just the bland bean burrito, but many unique choices.

How was it? My meal was extremely good!  With the amount of food that you receive in your meals there is more than enough to fill you up. It felt like my mouth was experiencing Mexican food for the first time.  I was thoroughly impressed at the quality of this food.

Service: The service at Azteca is always pleasant and quick. It is a bit difficult to understand the waiters because of their heavy Spanish accent, but that just adds to the experience. Anytime that you needed something Juan was on top of it. He was friendly, charming, and very helpful.

Next time I’ll try: I really wanted to try the mushroom burrito. I am a fan of sautéed mushrooms so to me a mushroom burrito sounds great. It seems like it would have a very unique taste, different from any other burrito that I’ve had before. Next time I go to Azteca I know what I’m getting!

The Best Deal: The best deal on the menu would definitely have to be any of the “meal deals” on the Vegetarian section of the menu. Meals A-H consist of three different combinations all priced at $7.99.  With a lot of food for a little price, this is definitely the vegetarian way to go.

Final Verdict: The lack of meat didn’t affect the meal, at all. In fact it may have even made it better. It was just as filling as a meaty meal. It didn’t lack any flavor, and was really satisfying. They used many spices to make up for the lack of meat. I will come back, contributing to the order of vegetarian meals.
