Hannah Fathi is a ninth grade student who is far from the typical fourteen-year-old girl.
School comes first for Fathi, and she has aspirations to go to college. She likes reading and writing, and does not let her social life get in the way of academics. In fact, she finds her friends to be helpful on her path to success.
"I hang out with funny people, but they’re ready for college. I tend to be with smart people," said Fathi.
Fathi’s favorite subject in school is science.
"Science is what I love, and my communications college class is really fun," noted Fathi.
Fathi admits that she does have problems in school just like any other student. Although she tries to be a better than an average student, she does have some obstacles to face.
"I have terrible study habits, but I do my work and pay attention," she explained.
Fathi’s life is not just about school. She is an only child and her family is important to her.
Outside of classes, Fathi enjoys going hanging out with friends, and reading. She loves music and one of her favorite things to do is be on the World Wide Web.
"I like to waste time online," said Fathi.
Fathi is on the fast track to success, but she does not forget to have fun along the way.
