I overheard a couple of kids talking about how they hated how everyone makes a big deal about celebrity deaths, when hundreds of non-famous people die everyday and don't get that kind of attention.
Well, I too have put some thought into that fact. The reason why we make such a fuss about the loss of someone famous is that when somebody who is known world-wide. His/ her passing hurts more than just family and friends. He/ she has touched the hearts of millions of fans as well.
Although I agree with the way we deal with the funerals and what not for our beloved celebrities, I do wish that we could do something more than what we do now for our regular citizens. You don't have to be famous to touch someone's heart.
