On December 2, Southern Door School Board President Dusty Miller announced the result of the new district superintendent search: Ms. Patricia “Patti” Vickman. Ms. Vickman rose above the other candidate and signed a contract that confirmed her position as superintendent as of January 1, 2012.
Ms. Vickman is a SD graduate and has served the school district of Oshkosh in various administrative roles for more than 20 years. Her contract with SD is for two-and-a-half years and amounts to a total salary of $125,000 per year.
When contacted via e-mail, Ms. Vickman did not reply. Sources say that Ms. Vickman will reply to inquiries as soon as she takes her title as SD District Superintendent.
