Mother’s
day the day when you stop and really think of all the things mothers
have done for us. Some people go and visit their moms, do dishes, or
just go and talk to the mom’s in their life's. Some people do the
something for almost every mother’s day. “It was a bit different, we
all woke up late and we were late for something and mom said there was
no time for break fest,” said Sydney Seyfi, a freshman at Skyline.
Almost every year for Mother’s Day Seyfi and her family get up early
and make their mom breakfast and take it to her in bed. “We watched
movies and went out to lunch,” replayed Mackenzie Gromala, a freshman ,
when asked what she did for her mom this Mother’s Day. “The day I
payed for my mom and her friend to go to the circus, and i got her a
blow up unicorn” said Ty Ridenour a sophomore at skyline, about what a
mother’s day she remembered.
“Yes,
because moms do a lot for us, so it’s a day we can do something for
them,” said Gromala. Mother’s day is a very important thing. It’s a day
set a side for the moms of the world to make sure they see that they
are loved for all they have done. From helping with costumes to putting
a band aid on a scratch. “It’s defiantly, important cause if there
wasn’t, there would a lot of moms down,” said Seyfi to why she thought
mother’s day is important. “I think it is important to give thanks to
the ones that keep a roof over your head” said Ridenour to why mother’s
day is important.
Whether
people remember the mother’s day from a few years ago or the mother’s
day that just past, everyone remembers at least one of the mother’s
days. “There is not one specifically, it’s just a day when we do
things for our mom,” said Seyfi to if there was one mother’s day that
she remembers. Some remember one mother’s day over them all and others
just remember that they did something.
Mother’s Day is a day that is known around the world to make moms
happy, to let them know that they are very special to everyone in their
life. It is to tell mom, grand mom, and everyone that is a mother
thanks and that they are loved. Gromala said mother’s day was “to give
recognition to your mom to give her pride for what she did.” For the
past year and all the years before and for all the years after.
Mother’s day is when you celebrate moms for all they have done for
everyone in their live.
