The school board has altered the cell phone policy in orderto correct some of the problems from years past.“The policy was meant to keep students in class and tojust hold the cell phone hostage,” Mrs. Pipkin said.
In some ways students like the new policy better theold one.
“My favorite part about the new policy is you don’t goto A.S.C,” senior Travis Jean said.
Many of the teachers have their own point of viewtowards the new policy.
”I like the new policy,” Mrs. Gutierrez said.
A few students found a way to completely avoid thepolicy all together.
“Just don’t do it and you will be fine, or just don’tget caught in the act,” an anonymous student said.
While others have a less sneaky approach to fix theirdisagreements with the policy.
“They should warn you the first time,” Jean said.
While some have come to terms with the policy, othersstill have many disagreements with the newly amended policy.
“You still loose yourphone,” Jean said. “And what happens to the ? money that is collected”
