Many individuals in McPherson possess hidden talents. On Thursday, March 31, students of McPherson High School were able to display these unique talents on stage.
The bright lights reflected from their faces as they prepared themselves and presented the student body with what makes them special.
Fargo 101, which consisted of freshmen Kevin Cullen, Craig Archer, Jarron Tolbert and Jeff Graber was announced the winner of the talent show to roaring applause.
“I was nervous and a little scared. We had hopes that we would win, but we didn’t care,” Tolbert, said. “We just wanted to show people our music.”
The performances were both colorful and plentiful in their presentations. The variety of performing arts ranged from singing to acting duets.
Anna Archer, fr., as a judge of the show, found it hard to deem a winner among the performances.
“It was pretty close because everyone did so good,” she said. “They [the band] were pretty incredible.”
Fargo 101 was pleased to take home the fifty dollar prize.
“That was about the best we ever played it,” Tolbert said. “It was a lot of fun.”
Despite the thrill of the performance, being on stage is not for everyone.
“That’s really brave of them because it would be hard to be up in front of everyone,” Archer said.
