After an exciting last year for the boy’s and girl’s golf team, golf season has approached again this year. Taken head coach position this year is Coach Marvin Childs for the boy’s team and new golf coach, Jocelyn McMurry. The girl’s golf team competed in Riesel/Mart on March 5 at the Battle Lake Country Club, where they received first place. Individually Jessica Howard placed second, shooting an 87. However, at their last meet, held in China Springs at the Lake Country Club, they did not receive a place. The boys traveled to Riesel and came home with third place on March 19, at the Battle Lake Country Club.

The next meet will be held in Teague at the Big Cedar Country Club. The boys will compete on March 26 and the girls on March 27. The first round of District will be at Battle Lake Country Club on April 2.
