Spring break was a time for all of us to relax and enjoy a week from the busy schedule of Teague High School. Some went to the beach, others to visit family, and some on road trips to occupy the time and get away for a while.
Spring break is a dangerous time though, and should be regarded as such. Many bad things can happen during the week if you are in a new place or even in your own hometown.
Safety should be a main priority before anything else. Of all things, it is important to not be found drinking and driving. Here are some safety tips that should be used all the time, spring break or not.
- Research your destination.
- Find out about the history of the location.
- Watch your surroundings.
- Use the buddy system constantly.
- Pack carefully.
- Do not give personal information out.
- Leave valuables at the hotel.
- Use the dead bolt in your hotel room.
- Use buses or your own car. Just watch the roads.
- Do not drink and drive under any circumstances!
Hopefully these tips will help the regular Spring Breaker for their next trip. It does not necessarily have to be spring break, but always be safe.
